Access Denied

Any warning with "Access Denied" in the message indicates an authentication failure.  There are many possible causes, the most common is that MetaLAN Server is running in an account with insufficient privileges to query WMI on a client computer.

You can test this by logging on as the account that MetaLAN Server runs in and attempting to connect and view the client computer configuration with the Windows "Computer Management" MMC.  Click "Start/Run" type "compmgmt.msc /computer:CLIENT-COMPUTER-NAME" to launch the MMC.

The target account name is incorrect

Any entry with "The target account name is incorrect" in the message is often due to a problem with the computer account in the Active Directory.  It can be caused by a DNS entry for the computer name that has an address that is now used by a different computer.  It is not unusual to see some of these warnings especially for computers that are no longer on the network but still have DNS entries or Active Directory accounts.

The RPC server is unavailable

"The RPC server is unavailable" message is generated when the network connection to the client PC fails.  The Windows Server service is not running.  The firewall is blocking Windows RPC ports.  The client computer was shutdown while attempting to connect or during an operation.  The network communication was interrupted for some other reason.

No such host is known

The IP address of the client could not be resolved.

EOleException : Provider failure

If the Procedure for the log entry is listed as "TCollectionManager.WMI_Software" the cause is detailed here: http://www.hammer-software.com/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=30
