MetaLAN error : "Invalid Filename"

MetaLAN shows the following error and will not run on Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.

Error : Invalid Filename Please re-activate or uninstall and then reinstall MetaLAN to correct this problem.

This applies to MetaLAN version 1.9.6 and earlier.



To fix this error MetaLAN must be run at least once as Administrator inorder to register itself properly.  To run as Administrator right click the MetaLAN icon and click "Run as administrator".  MetaLAN will start without administror rights after this has been done.
