ProbeServer is a free add-on for MetaLAN Administrator. Please use MetaLAN Administrator 1.8.5.100 or later. ProbeServer is a service that runs on a computer on your network. It collects the same data as MetaLAN Administrator but stores this information centrally for quick retrieval. When using MetaLAN Administrator on networks with over 200 nodes or when more than 1 administrator is using MetaLAN. However, ProbeServer will work on smaller networks and MetaLAN Administrator can run in standalone mode on any sized network if desired.

ProbeServer does not require regular maintenance to continue to work reliably. However, if you want to keep the database in tip top condition you can use the database tool. Remove old or redundant data like software titles that are no longer installed on the network.

MetaGuard is a service that monitors the health of Windows computers on a network. The service uses the Windows
Performance Monitoring API to watch CPU, disk and memory usage and response times.
When configurable limits are exceeded MetaGuard can send alerts via email, syslog or the Windows messaging service.
MetaGuard displays the health of each monitored host in a web site which can be published using the built in web server or the web server built into Windows.
Requires a network account for the service credentials.
The service will run for 30 days before requiring registration. |
