Use this tool to:
- Remote control computers
not found by MetaLAN.
- Remote control computers
by IP Address.
- Force the uninstall of
VNC from a computer.
- View Remote Control history
logs.
Usage
Select a computer from the “Selected Computer” drop down box or type the name of
a computer or IP address in the “Selected Computer” drop down box. Click [Remote
Control] to start a remote control session to a computer.
Click [Force Uninstall] to forcefully remove a VNC installation from a computer. NB
By default MetaLAN uninstalls VNC from a computer when a remote control session
is ended.
Click [View RC log] to view the Remote control history log from the selected
computer.
Click [View all RC logs] to collect and view the remote control history logs from all
online computers.
Licensing
MetaLAN uses AT&T's VNC software to provide the remote control ability. VNC is uninstalled
from the client when the remote control session is ended. VNC is covered by a separate
license agreement to MetaLAN. VNC is covered by the GPL license agreement. VNC is open
source software. The software and the source code is down loadable from http://dl.hammer-
software.com
