Three Simple Steps
Once you have MetaLAN installed you must gather data about the computers on
your network before you can use most of MetaLAN's functions.
- Configure MetaLAN. If you are not using ProbeServer you may want to
exclude any networks you do not want to gather data from. E.G.: You may
want to stop MetaLAN gathering data from networks over slow WAN links. If
you are using ProbeServer you should configre MetaLAN to gather it's data
from the server.
- Probe the Network to gather data.
- View information about the computers on your
network using the Help Desk
Tool or the Report Tool.
