License Manager Licenses
License Manager tracks software installations by Licenses. You can create license
and then assign software titles and a license compliance count.
Creating a License to track installed Software
To create a license; click the License menu of right click anywhere in the Licenses
table and select Add License.
The license window will open with a blank license. Enter the license description and
the quantity of licenses you own.
To add software titles to track against this license click the "Add Title(s)" button. The
Add Title window will open with all all the software title found on your network.
Select the title you want track against the new license. Use the CTRL key to select
multiple titles or the Shift key to select a range of titles. Click the "Add" button when
you are finished selecting titles.
n.b.: Do not track titles you do not need to. The time taken to calculate the installed
quantity for thousands of potential titles can be significant.
The License window will now display the selected titles with the installed quantity for
each title. Click the "Apply" button to create to create the new license.
The new license is now displayed in the Licenses window showing the status, the
licensed quantity and the total titles installed.
